Getting started

General questions

How do I get started with ScaffDocs?
Download the app from Google Play or the App Store, then go to My Company and enter your details. Your name, logo, address, email and bank details will appear on all your PDFs automatically.
Does ScaffDocs work offline?
Yes — ScaffDocs works completely offline. All your data is stored on your device. You don't need an internet connection to create RAMS, inspections, invoices or any other documents.
Is it available on both Android and iOS?
Yes. ScaffDocs is available on both Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store). Your licence covers the platform you purchase on.
Can I use ScaffDocs on my tablet?
Absolutely — ScaffDocs works beautifully on both phones and tablets. The layout adapts automatically. Many users find a tablet ideal for filling in RAMS and inspections on site.

RAMS and documents

Are the RAMS documents legally compliant?
ScaffDocs generates professional, industry-standard RAMS templates covering the Work at Height Regulations 2005. However, every RAMS must be reviewed and amended by a competent person before use on a specific site. You are responsible for ensuring documents are suitable before issue.
Can I add my company logo to PDFs?
Yes — go to My Company, tap the logo area and upload your logo. It will appear automatically on all your PDFs including RAMS, inspections, invoices and handover certificates.
How do I share a document?
Tap the Share / Export button on any document screen. Share via WhatsApp, email, save it to your phone or print it. The app uses your device's built-in sharing so any app on your phone can receive the PDF.
Can I access previous RAMS and inspections?
Yes — every document is saved to the history for that document type. Open any previous RAMS, inspection, invoice or Safe Start from its history screen and re-export at any time.
Data & privacy

Your data

Where is my data stored?
All your data is stored locally on your device. ScaffDocs does not send your data to any server. We have no access to your company details, jobs, scaffolders or any documents you create.
What happens if I change phone?
Data is stored locally so it won't automatically transfer. Export important documents as PDFs before switching. Your licence can be restored on a new device by restoring purchases through the app store.
Do you collect analytics or tracking data?
No. ScaffDocs does not collect usage analytics, crash reports or any tracking data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Billing

Payment & licence

Is it really a one-off payment?
Yes — pay once and the app is yours forever on that platform. No monthly subscription, no annual renewal. Future updates are included.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open ScaffDocs on your new device and use the Restore Purchase option. As long as you're signed into the same Google Play or App Store account, your licence restores at no extra cost.
Can I get a refund?
Refund requests are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their respective refund policies. Please contact the relevant store directly.
